The following sentence from the "Rivals" section does not make sense to me.

Since the moment they met at the Tea Club, Hanai got on Akira’s nerves and she made sure to make him miserable, just as he in turn couldn’t feel too happy about it; so their relationship could be described as “hate at first sight”.
